"Britta" Halle

Brita is a somewhat shy girl, who just asks that she be given time to get to know her human friends. She is now quite comfortable here in her foster home, following us around wherever we go. She gets along very well with our two hounds, and our 4 cats. She loves breakfast and dinner time the best, and is very food motivated. She of course loves any kind of treats! She is crated about 8 hours during the day, with a break mid-day as I am close to home from work. She tells me she appreciates the kong I offer her in the morning with frozen peanut butter and kibble inside. She likes to lay on the tile floors at times, and is a master of stairs! Her personality sure comes out when there is a tempting supply of stuffies sitting in a basket. She sometimes takes them out one by one and carries them through the house. She seems to enjoy her walk every night with her 2 new furry friends. She has become more and more sure of herself after each walk, and pays close attention to all the sights and sounds along the way. At bedtime, Brita comes upstairs with us and lays at the side of the bed on her dog bed all night. Brita tells me she is hoping for a forever home that will have the time and patience for her to get to know & trust them on her terms. She would love to join a household with another hound or dog, or with a human(s) that are home at least part of the day. She is a joy to have with us, and will be very missed when she leaves!
