On The Line


One of the classiest greyhounds ever to come out of Chappell Kennel's On the Line was inducted into the greyhound hall of fame in 1978. He is the only greyhound in history to ever win New England's "Triple Crown" - the $25,000 Raynham Derby, the $50,000 Wondrland Derby and teh $25,000 American Derby that was in 1952, the same year he captured the Hollywood Open, all three legs of teh National Wim Championchip honors and was named Greyhound of the Year.

Injury forced On The Line's early retirement to stud on John Young's farm in Kiefer Oklahoma where he became one of the leading sires of the day until his death by lukemia in 1960.
