Hi! I’m Abel and I hail most recently from West Virginia, where I wasn’t the most successful racer. Nevertheless, I’d like the chance to race into your heart!
My foster mom says I love life and want to live it to its fullest. I’m very active and enjoy chasing my foster brother and sister around, as much as I do lounging in the warm summer sun. I haven’t met a food or treat I didn’t want to eat again, and, I’m exceedingly polite about taking treats, I have even learned a few commands.
My housetraining went well and I’ve never had an accident! I’m told this is a real accomplishment, along with excellent leash-walking skills (2-3 miles daily), and my patience for nail trims and baths.
Something I don’t enjoy is being crated, really ever – YUCK! My mom says I am velcro, and want always to be with my people. When you do leave, I would prefer to have run of the house, but my foster family pens me in a cool room with soft music, so I don’t have to be crated.
I think cats and small dogs are super cool, but my foster mom worries they may not be able to play at my level! A home without both is probably best, but if you have kids, I come toddler-approved!
