Lulu is a beautiful brindle girl, who is gregarious and confident. She loves going on walks in the neighborhood and is very good on a leash. She is very food motivated, which makes her easy to train and reward. Any treat will do the trick. She is good on stairs now, but it took some coaxing with food. While she is very quick going up, she takes her time going down, often waiting for her people to finish going down first. Going up she is a little like a bull in a china shop sometimes, but she is learning to slow it down.

Lulu would do well as an only dog. As stated, she is is confident, but she is also more likely to follow the cues of her people than follow the other dogs. She likes toys sometimes, and she will play a little fetch with a ball on occasion. She will even bring it right back to us. Despite her food motivation and her enjoyment of play time, she has not been toy or food aggressive.

Lulu is very laid back, but gets excited when it’s time for her walk. She seems to have a watch, because she can always sense when walk time is approaching. She will come up and stare at us and put her paw on the couch beside us to let us know it’s that time. While Lulu really enjoys being in the yard — especially if there’s a squirrel to chase — she doesn’t do any running of laps. She generally just explores and comes back in. She could be a great apartment dog or easily adapt to a home without a fence as long as she got her share of walking in.

She can be sneaky with food, counter surfing on occasion, but she is easily and quickly corrected. She is very intelligent and kind, and she would make any home a great pet.
