Open and Board Meeting and BBQ

The June Open Meeting will be held on Sunday, June 1st, at Lower Huron Metropark in Belleville – Ellwoods West (Directions below).  The open meeting will start at 12:00 PM, the board will be meeting before.

The fee for the park is $7 if you do not have the park pass sticker.  GEM will reimburse you for the fee at the meeting with your receipt, so make sure to ask for a receipt.

This is a BBQ so please bring a dish to pass for everyone to enjoy.  Please respond with what you are bringing so we don’t have several of the same dishes.

Please also send me any items you would like covered in the Open or Board Meeting and I will add it to the agenda.  This is a great time to come and give feedback for the GEM Event!  We look forward to seeing everyone there!  Have a safe and fun Memorial Day Weekend!!!

Directions:

Lower Huron Metropark, 17845 Savage Rd, Belleville – park is south of I-94 and west of I-275
Directions via I-275 — 275 south to Sibley Rd exit 13, go west (less than 1 mile) on Sibley (cross RR tracks to stop sign), Sibley ends at Waltz Rd, turn left onto Waltz Rd, follow to the Park (approx. 1/2 mile) on the right
Directions via I-94 — 94 west to Haggerty Rd exit 192, go south (less than 1 mile) on Haggerty, you will cross RR tracks and there’s a stop sign at Huron River Dr, entrance to park is straight ahead

Once in the Park, follow the road and you can turn onto road for Fox Woods picnic area – you will pass the Turtle Cove Aquatic Center, follow curve right to Ellwoods Picnic Area — or — you can turn onto road for Hawthorn Glade Picnic Area, pass Hawthorn and Woodscreek, curving left around to Ellwoods — you should see us — we have the Ellwoods West pavilion
