Mona is a graduate from a prison training program conducted by The Greyhound Inmate Experience (T.G.I.E.). While the TGIE Greyhounds are in the program they learn basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, come etc. and should be prepared to pass a Canine Good Citizen exam with little effort… just reinforcement on your part.
Graduated on 8/16/18. More on Mona:
Mona is a 2 year old TGIE graduate who is small dog, but not cat safe. She has a sweet personality and loves being next to her people. She is a tall girl and we sometimes forget she is still a puppy until she romps and plays. She gets along with our other two greyhounds and doesn’t seem bothered when the older girl shows her snarky side when Mona walks by.
She crates well. We leave her in the crate when we are gone while the other 2 are free to roam. She sleeps in the crate in the bedroom.
Mona travels well and walks are lead are getting better. She’s doing well with her commands as well as with grooming: teeth brushing and nail trimming.
Based on how she behaved with the children that came by at the last Meet and Greet, we believe she would do well with children, provided of course that knowledge of dog and children interactions are followed.
Due to her high level of activity and curiosity, we feel strongly that her forever home have a fenced in yard.
