After 5 days with Rock, I can, without reservation, say that this guy is special. Loaded with personality, and full of affection, he is going to make the perfect addition to a young family that perhaps has children or other pets. Completely cat safe, he shows very minimal interest in Lucky, the cat, and when he does, calls off with just a word. He DOES love to play, it’s a joy to watch him in the yard with our dogs. They all get along well and play well together.

I think he he feels like he’s the new watch dog and last night he made noises when I took him out that I’ve never heard a greyhound make before… He howled like a basset hound when the neighbor let his dog out. It was hilarious!

He is nearly housebroken already but we still keep the belly band on when we can’t watch him. But he only tried to mark once when we first brought him home. He’s a fast learner and already responds to the clicker and of course, is very food motivated. At first, the hardwood floors freaked him out but he has adjusted well to them and yesterday, I was able to coax him UP the stairs but not back down. He’ll get it soon!

He is very affectionate and loves to be petted and loved on.

He walks on lead pretty well and will do his business while leashed. The first time, it was like walking a kangaroo but he’s learned quickly who’s in charge of the walk.

In short, I think this handsome guy will be snapped up fast and will make his new family very happy!!
