I am a sweet young girl who now just goes by Shelby. Lets just start by saying that I love to be pampered. My foster mom keeps me very pretty by brushing my shiny black hair, cleaning my ears and brushing my teeth. I really love the doggie toothpaste, so if you try to brush another dog’s teeth while next to me, I might just lick their face and try to help. I keep my nails beautiful, and always have them painted. I like to relax on my dog bed while my foster mom trims, files and paints my nails. I never had pedicures like this before, so I am in heaven when my foster mom does it.
I enjoy meeting new people and am great with other dogs. I haven’t had a chance to meet any small dogs yet, so please introduce me slowly. I can be a bit rambunctious in my morning play, but I don’t mean any harm. I am just so happy and full of energy that I just can’t contain myself. After a short play, I am ready to take my morning nap. If there are cats in the house…what cats? I just ignore them and keep on walking. Sometimes my kitty foster sister lays on my dog bed; but that’s ok, I just lay on the floor next to her.

Breakfast and dinner are my favorite times of the day. Did you know I am very food motivated and will do almost anything for it. I will sit, lay down and shake for a treat before you can blink an eye. Oh, and I must tell you that I love fresh vegetables. As a treat they keep me lean and pretty!

Lastly, I enjoy cozying up in my crate from time to time with the door open, but if you close me in there when you leave, I may try to get out. I have never been successful, but my foster mom decided to let me try staying out of the crate and I have always been a perfect angel. I don’t chew shoes, or shred anything. I just nap on my dog bed. I really am a perfect little lady and can’t wait to meet my new family!
