Jit Baby Bear
Lapis got her name after the blue stone “Lapis Lazuli”. It’s a very appropriate name for this gorgeous blue gal. Lapis says that living in a home is a cross between Disneyland, Ritz Carlton, and FAO Swartz. She carries a stuffie hedgehog or possum in her mouth and stockpiles toys in the corner of the living room. She has perfect bathroom manners; not one accident. She sleeps on a doggie bed and thinks that she was born for such a life as this. She is very affectionate, walks beautifully on leash, and loves car rides. She is very prey driven when she spots a small animal, but she and our resident greyhound act like two long-lost sisters who were waiting to be reunited. She has already learned to “wait” at the door. She has separation issues that we will work on. She needs to put on a couple of pounds but is charmingly beautiful. A Gem, if there ever was one.
Lapis’ foster family absolutely fell in love with her and couldn’t imagine their lives without her. December 5, 2009 marks the date Lapis became an official member of Chuck and Zoe Pearson’s family.
