Duke is a stunning tuxedo boy with a perfect white bow tie on his chest! He is a prison program grad who knows his commands and will automatically sit if he sees someone with food in their hand, hoping they’ll share and you don’t even have to ask him to sit.
It’s adorable. Duke is a shy, nervous dog who needs to trust and feel safe. It didn’t take him long at all to feel comfortable in his foster home. He doesn’t respond well to being pushed Everything with Duke needs to go slow so he can absorb what’s going on, as he’s intimidated easily but once he figures it out, there are no issues. He’s very affectionate and is a kisser! He’s just an all around wonderful dog!

Duke does not like the crate and will chew at the bars after a short time trying to get out. So he probably won’t crate in his new home. But he’s fine uncrated. He’s never had an accident in the house, or chewed, counter surfed or gotten into anything. I’m trusting him already after only one week. He loves to run in the yard for short sprints and looks so happy doing so. He will not potty on a lead so he should have a fenced in yard. He lives with a cat in his foster home and has been fine. He’ll need a quiet home and probably would do best if he’s not left for long periods of time without his people and probably should not be an only dog. If you have a soft touch and quiet, routine home consider this wonderful boy. I guarantee you won’t be sorry! I will miss him when he leaves.
