Pico's He Did It

 Rainbow Bridge /

I’m more than just a pretty face. I’m gentle, lovable and learn quickly. I’m just two years old so I’m playful too. I like other dogs and even the cats. Oh, and did I mention I really love stuffies? Pico was adopted on 02/05/2005 by Robin Gedye.

On 06/09/2005 Pico suffered a fatal accident after chasing an animal in the yard at full speed and crashed head-on into an apple tree. It appears his neck was snapped instantly and though I was not there my Father, who was working in the yard and heard the incident, tells me he appears not to have felt any pain since Pico had no pulse, heart beat or breathing when he reached the accident site. In the evening we buried him next to Shogun, the Saluki I lost to lung cancer last year. Pico was the fastest runner I’ve ever seen and was usually able to negotiate the trees with ease.

Pico was a beauty with such a wonderful personality, friendly and affectionate to everyone and always a happy and bouncy soul. Needless to say his loss is deeply felt and so sudden I can hardly believe it happened.
