If you are looking for a sweet and mild greyhound, Bells may be the one! Bells is fresh off the track, so her foster family is working with her on basic obedience training. She responds well to her name and goes into her crate at feeding time. She is a breeze to walk. She has already mastered the stairs!

Bells is taking retirement seriously. She loves carrying around and biting on her stuffed toys, enjoys food and is learning that her crate is an ok place to be. She sleeps through the night and is fine if crated for spans of about 5 hours during the day.

Bells has a bit of a sensitive temperament. She spooks and reacts fearfully to fast movements and loud noises. She is slowly learning to ignore the sights and sounds of passing cars, bikes, dog barks, and other loud noises of the city during walks. Time and patience will be the keys to unlocking this gem of a pup.

Now that she is settling in, Bells sometimes gets excited by seeing the kitty beyond the hallway baby-gate and barks at her. Bells will invite the kitty to play by doing a play-bow and wagging her tail, but doesn’t yet understand why the kitty does not respond.

All-in-all, Bells is a great greyhound and would do best with a quiet family who understands her need for a calm and peaceful environment.
