Yasie came to us like they all do, excited, uncertain, and curious. He quickly fell into the order of things around here. Feeding times, potty breaks and play time. Yasie is an extremely intelligent dog who has not once tried to mark inside the house, let’s us know when he has to go out. And let’s us know when he needs some pets and attention. He fits right in with our other hounds and they all seem to be fast friends. He crates very well with just a few words and hand gestures. He has a small stubborn streak while working on his commands but that’s probably more my issue than his. I just need to find the right key to start that engine. He of course, is a food hound and will perform for treats. The few times that he’s attempted counter surfing he responded immediately to a sharp NO! We have not yet worked on stairs but we will do so this next week. He has a lot of puppy in him still and is a very loving dog that will fit right in to almost any active family. More to come as he acclimates to his new surroundings outside the prison walls.
