Teddy

 Rainbow Bridge /

Teddy is a beautiful and very dignified 14 year old greyhound that spent his life in retirement, along with his littermate Gwen, as the treasured companion of David West. Sadly, Teddy outlived his beloved owner and his littermate. The group David adopted from chose not to accept Teddy back into their program. GEM, and a foster home of ours that is extraordinary with senior and special needs dogs, stepped forward to offer him respite.

Teddy is severely arthritic and is on daily meds to help him retain the mobility he has. Teddy also requires special attention to his diet because of his lack of teeth. It’s hard to break up kibble with 3 teeth. Finding safe soft food for Teddy since the Menu recall is not only difficult but very expensive.

It’s doubtful that Teddy can ever be adopted but he has a loving place in our hearts for all the rest of his days. The costs to keep him comfortable are quite high. If you find it in your heart to help with these expenses you can donate using the button below.

He nestled into our lives so comfortably and quickly as if he were meant to be ours, but he wasn’t to be ours for long. He was on a mission to get back with his owner & companion of 12 years, Davis West. He was like an angel from above who came into our lives. Teddy touched our hearts and showed us the real meaning of love.
Anyone who met Teddy, knew he was incredibly special. He was so loving, so sweet and so gentle. We were truly blessed to have had Teddy be part of our family even if it was for just a short time. We are so grateful for the time we had together. You have carved a niche’ in our hearts.

Teddy, we feel honored to have been able to be here for you while you waited for your wings.
