 Rainbow Bridge /

Pharaoh has a special unique personality that shines every day. When he is happy to see you, not only does his tail wag and his body bounce, but he will also smile for you. Pharaoh is pictured above on a camping trip in the summer of 2000.

A note from 08/09/2005
It is with a heavy heart and many tears that I have to announce that our beloved Pharaoh was helped to the bridge today. He was 13.5. He was unable to walk and we decided that it was time.

My daughter that claimed him as hers, along with Jeff and I, were with him until the end.

Pharaoh is most remembered as the big black love bug that would do anything to protect his precious Jessica. Even when Jessica and her Dad would wrestle, Pharaoh would get up and get into Jeff’s face and bark constantly until they stopped. Pharaoh also went after the phone guy that, unaware to us, was in our back yard. He was the perfect M & G dog. Always loving everyone.

Pharaoh was 7 when we adopted him and Gunny (age 9) at the same time.

Gunny, his friend and partner for life, met him at the bridge and they are running free once more as best friends.

Pharaoh is survived by our mutt Sammy who let the greyhounds into his home, Peggy who misses her big guy as much as I do, and Ginger who seems lost at the passing of 2 of her friends. And also the family that had to make the decision to let him go. But also has the memories of adopting 2 senior greyhounds and wouldn’t have had it any other way. Seniors are a gift from God and seniors ROCK!

Thank you big guy for teaching us that even though the body gives out, the spirit never does and for letting us know, when it was time.

We love you!
